Many of the Vedic people's ancient past history is being called a myth to downplay their civilization is 6000 to 7000 years old when other civilizations were in a primitive state.It is a deliberate effort by the British to downplay Vedic/Hindu civilization to obliterate Vedic superior knowledge and suppress Indian Vedic culture as primitive in the minds of the Indians who are the decedents of this Vedic people and make them feel ashamed and inferior. Unfortunately many highly literate among the Indians still hold Vedic history as myth and fails not to refer it as myth at any given time. But the fact is far from it there is archaeological evidence to prove the histories are authentic.Here Rajiv Malhotra in this video is narrating it very clearly.
